Around here when you give birth vaginally you stay at the hospital for 3 days, and when you have a c-section you stay for 5. I was just wondering if this is the same everywhere and is it mandatory?

Yes, with my insurance it was the same. But with the second pregnancy I could have gone home the same day but I didn't want to leave the baby.
