Can you get pregnant a couple of days even a week after ovulation?

Well i had BD on 01/05 and my ovulation is 01/07 to 01/10. Can i still get or be pregnant? And I was wondering can you get pregnant just a week or maybe even a few days after ovulation. I've seen post on some people getting pregnant just 3 days after ovulating and have sex 6 to 5 days before ovulation.

  • The sperm can live for 5-6 days in the vagina so sex 5-6 days before ovulation can result in a pregnancy. The egg can live 1-2 days after ovulation so sex 1-2 days after ovulation can result in pregnancy. So that being said since you said you ovulated between 7-10 sex anywhere from 2-12 could possibly result in pregnancy.

  • Also unless you are tracking using OPK or temps- your ovulation date could have been soon or later than the 'textbook' day.

  • Let's keep it real simple. If you have sex, you can get pregnant. If you have unprotected sex, there's a way bigger chance you can get pregnant. Don't worry about the supposed ovulation dates.
