  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
    1 cup sugar
    1/8 teaspoonsalt
    1 cup hot water
    1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix cocoa powder, sugar, and salt in a saucepan with the back of a wooden spoon. Add water gradually and mix well. Boil gently 5 minutes. Cool and add vanilla. This will keep several weeks if covered tightly and refrigerated. May be used as a hot drink or poured over ice cream or warm cake.
