2 Bumps

my 3 yr old has been coughing for 8 months theyve done chest xrays antibiotics and cough meds it hasnt stopped has any one had this problem did u fiind out what was wrong

  • I bet It's asthma. I had that. An inhaler fixed it completely.

  • With my daughter it was asthma. She's on a daily inhaler nowand doing a zillion times better.

  • could be allergies to... have they tried a daily antihistamine like children Allegra or Claritin?? My son had post nasal drip that was making him cough & drool... ENT put him on flonase & Allegra... problem solved!!

  • i do not smoke or allow any one to smoke around them when she was 4 months old she had pnumonia and rsv which her regular doctor didnt find find he was just giving her antibiotics i finally took her to another doc and he found and hospitalized her for a week but since then she gets sick so easy specially bronchitos but anyways her doctor she has had for the past yearand a half has gave her singulair which is for asthma patients to keep there lungs clear amd it worked wonder for bout a year a half one then and a whole one now but its not doing the trick now she doesnt have attacks but he also has her on a breathing machine most times with 2 different meds but also she gets allergy shots she had the prick test done to see what she was allergic to and started shots once a week for 6 months now so anything else you guys can think of woukd be nice and thank u all for trying to help

  • also she is on zyrtec at night it use to be b claritin

  • The same thing happens to my on in the winter. I alternate between Zyrtec & childrens cough medicine. I'll bump you. Maybe we'll get more input.

  • Has anyone ever mentioned a heart murmur or anything like that suspected? I'd ask about that. My dad had a persistant cough for months and finally was diagnosed with a heart condition. Unfortunately they can't do anything for the cough so he's had this cough for years now but at least he knows why he has it.
