Frozen Veggies

Went grocery shopping this morning and bought a bag of frozen vegetables. I don't often do this because it always tastes pretty bland to me, but I saw it and decided to buy on a whim. So....

Do you add anything to your frozen veggies?

  • I make soups out of mine, depending on what you got, broc, goes good with cheese, frozen is much better for you than canned, I make green beans with bacon and onions, corn with just a bit of spray butter, I usually steam them in the microwave.

  • I always add salt if I'm just steaming. I buy frozen veggies a lot.

  • The only frozen veggies I usually buy is edamame. Just add a little salt to water when boiling them. I sometimes have some frozen corn for adding to corn bread or gazpacho.

  • I buy almost all frozen veggies in the winter. Quite often they're steamed & mixed into something, but to eat plain, butter, salt, & pepper usually.

  • Frozen are good for crock pot meals! And then what ever you make with them adds flavor.
