Atheist group's response to Florida schools allowing religious group to distribute Bibles
Keep in mind that this is not a "tit for tat" response. It's one that's meant to have the schools reconsider their policy allowing this sort of propaganda technique in public schools.
Atheist materials to be distributed in public schools.

I agree, 3libras. All, or none. Preferably, none. School is not the place for it.

It's Buncombe County all over again. Here's hoping Florida handles it by breaking fewer laws than SC did.

I remember when I was in grade school and we said a little prayer before class started, then the Pledge of Allegience. Children were more respectful then, had values, and it didn't kill or mame any of us. Kids didn't curse or swear because they felt God was watching and they'd catch hell for it. It took one athiest to gripe about it to get it removed for everyone. No, school isn't a place to pray like a church is, but who is it really hurting - Athiests? It's not okay to instill values, or God into our children anymore. However; it's okay for these children to bring their cell phones, I pads, walkmen, etc... and listen to hate songs, rap, heavy metal, etc... and walk around cussing like drunken sailors, boys throwing on pants 4 sizes to big for them so you can see their cracks, and girls with skirts so short you can see their crotches, and tops cut so low you can see their navals. No values, no respect.

Do you really think that kids didn't swear or harm others when prayer was forced in school? Do you realize that people of faith kill, swear, get drunk, do drugs, all of that, while still believing that some god is "up there" (where?) watching them? Do you really think that values come from god or religion? Do you think that the boys with pants too big and girls with skirts too short are the product of atheism? Do you really think that it's only a belief in god that keeps people from killing, raping, stealing, etc.? Are you that weak? Is that all that keeps you from mass murder?
Before making such ridiculous claims, Sierra, consider it carefully. Those things don't happen because kids aren't forced to pray. The reality is, kids have always looked for ways to rebel, and they always will, regardless of whether or not god is pounded into their heads.

My own child, while in elementary, advocated for an all or none policy in her predominately Mormon school.
Sierrarose99- you remind me of the kid in University who actually believed non marital sex did not happen until the promotion of the "pill".
Of course he also believed that a woman who didn't want kids should have a hysterectomy...

I do not have a problem with it as long as there is no porn or blood in the material, which I wouldn't expect anyway.
