My dd is complaining of her boon is hurting or whatever you call it for an almost 8 year old.

My dd will be 8 at the end of April. She just started complaining of it hurting. So I was looking at it and the one she is complaining about is a light purple color, but the other one isn't and that one don't hurt. She said the other one doesn't hurt. She said she didn't bump it. I don't remember how old I was when I started puberty, but I know I wasn't that young. I didn't even start my period until the end of 13 almost 14. My sister started hers at 12. My mom started hers at 13. But again I don't remember the actual puberty age. She isn't a big girl either. So is it something else or can it be puberty already? If it is puberty when do you buy a training bra.

  • I am sure her daughter knows the correct terms for her body parts, what is so wrong with being casual with other women and her own child....ugh! Anyway, I would just take her to the doctor.

  • oh thank gawd you commented. I was sooo lost.

DD was 8-9 when her breast buds developed. Same complaint and discoloration. Doc said it was puberty. Take her in for a pro opinion.

  • They do that as they grow. Hurt.

  • My youngest was 9, almost 10 when she started developing breast buds. The other three were more like 10 almost 11. When it became noticeable through their shirts, I bought a bunch of those camis with the built in shelf (you can get them a justice and limited too) for them to wear as an undershirt.

That being said... idk about the purple color and the tenderness. Dd #2 had an abscess on her boob when she was 12, and it was purpleish in color and painful. I would take your dd to the doctor just to make sure it's not an abscess or something.

  • Her BREAST is hurting? Take her to the doctor. Teach her the correct words for her body parts.
