A classic example of getting rid of something you have had forever, then needing it.

Ever happen to you?

I had a garage sale last year, sold my cordless house phone for 3 dollars.

Just had a land line connected through Comcast, and oops we don't have a phone.

SO bought one for 8.99 at the goodwill and then it was missing a cord. So we bought the cord the next day and the phone doesn't work.

So it was a negative sale, selling that phone of mine.

Aaaand I don't have a cell phone, so I could be communicating with the world right now- I just am missing the equipment.

  • I never get rid of stuff for fear that I'll need it later. Nope, I'm smarter than that - I put things up for when I need them eventually.

Now, if I could just remember where I put those things, I wouldn't have to go out and buy new ones. lol

  • Also, after I had my first kid I donated ALL my clothes because I came to terms with the fact they would NEVER fit again. By the time my daughter was 2 they would have all fit.

Haven't had crap for clothes since.

  • That stinks! Happens to me but I didn't get rid of it, I just put it in my secret spots & I forget where they are! LOL! Then when I empty a cabinet or drawer I find it after I just spent money on a new one! :P
