how much food does your 6-7 month old eat?

I was wondering how much formula/breastmilk (total ounces) and solid food (total jars) your baby eats in one day because I wonder if I feed my baby too much. Thanks

  • My baby is 6 months. She has 4 6oz bottles a day. Food in between bottles. Cereal with fruit in the morning and a veggie in the evening. I don't use the baby food anymore but portion size is like two jars of stage 2. We're going to start giving her breads and pastas soon.

  • mine will be 8 months tomorrow but since she has turned 7 months she drinks 4 8oz bottles and is on table food, she refused stage 3 baby food so our meals typically are
    morning bottle
    breakfast, oatmeal or something soft
    bottle
    nap
    lunch
    nap
    dinner and bottle
    and then bedtime bottle
this usually varies depending on her mood.

  • Is he puking after eating? Are you shoving the food down his throat? NO? Cool! You're not overfeeding!

My guys were taking about 36oz of formula per day and two stage 2 jars per meal. We also introduced table and finger foods at this age, as well as juice/water mixed with snacks. (that's why they cut down on their formula..they were taking up around 45oz each day)

  • my son has about 24-28oz of breastmilk/formula, 1/2-3/4 jar of stage 2 food, and a small handful of cheerios or freeze-dried fruits per day. he is 7 months old.

  • I delayed introducing solids, so my daughter only gets about 1/2 jar of stage 1 baby food or baby cereal mixed with breastmilk. Some finger foods like banana every now and then. I BF on demand, so no idea how many oz of milk she gets. She eats about 8 times a day, sometimes more.

  • every baby is different.. feed your's what he/she needs. he/she will not eat/drink more than he/she needs and will let you know if it is not enough. mine would not take more than 3 oz until 9 months, and half the time she still eats only 3 oz. your baby knows, and will let you know!
