when does your belly get hard during pregnancy? twin pregnancy? im 9w1d

  • you tummy starts to feel hard anytime after you skip
    your first period.

  • The thinner you were to start the sooner it will feel hard, and a twin pregnancy will feel that way sooner than a singleton. The exact time varies a lot.

  • I don't know exactly when it felt hard, but I was starting to show by 10 - 12 weeks with the twins. I had a little extra weight before getting pregnant, so it didn't really feel all that hard until a little later, but it sure did pop out there pretty quick!

  • 3 or 4 months was when i felt a hard little bump, but I'm terribly small.

  • It gets hard when the babies are big enough to start putting pressure on the wall of the uterus. It's different from bloating and it kind of depends on how thin you are to start out, where you gain the weight, hormonal distribution of fluids, etc. I'm not a small woman by any means but by three months I had the little bump and had to get the tummy band to hold up my pre-preg pants. Kind of miss it though. I was a big tummy-rubber.
