tilapia or not tilapia...

Reports state Talapi contains Omega 6 which causes inflammation around the heart. Dr says stick with Salmon, Tuna and other white fish...too bad it's an inexpensive fish...have you heard this?

  • No, but I'll take my chances with tilapia. We eat it so rarely I'm not worried. It's the one fresh/frozen fish I can stand.

  • Never heard that. I like it because it's cheap and mild tasting. DH can't stand "fishy" fish, lol.

  • We didn't eat it because it was farmed and the stuff at costco came from China (after much research and calling around, we discovered this). But I didn't hear about the omega 6.
