When you pay rent....

To an inlaw who does not reside with you, do you think it is ok to pay the rent in the month it is due in, or should you pay it on the 1st of the month?....Just a question to settle an arguement.

  • When was the move-in date? Id say that day, every month. As long as it is a consistent date, I would see no problem in the actual date.

  • So a person own the place you are renting and happens to be related, right?
    Rent is dues according to the contract and most are set at the first of the month.
    If there was no set contract you know what you agreed on and that is when it is due, usually the first of the month.
