Are your children on delay this morning?

Ours are. It's 5 out and 8 below with windchill.

I don't recall ever getting days off because it was " to cold". I remember walking home in a blizzard, the only time they shut down schools early due to weather.

  • We had a few "too cold" days. I recall one time it was -20 out!
In high school they released us early for a freak blizzard. We were getting 3 inches an hour
And yeah,I walked in all forms of weather.

  • Nope. Mine are off today. High schooler because it's finals make up day; middle and elementary kids for "teacher professional development." Can't wait for tomorrow.

  • My DD was 2 hours late, & it's 9 degrees. With the wind chill, feels like -14, I think they said.

  • no but I kept her home, the cold like that could literally shut ME down pysically for days and I dont have heat in my car right now. It was 6 when I got up to think about sending her. Its 4k so not a horrible thing to keep her home next year I will have to rethink our transportation options.

  • Nope I think we're past the point of having delays in the mornings due to weather. My DS is not pleased.
