Weird or cute, do I address this or let it be?

My youngest that is 2 is potty training right now and things have took an interesting turn. After he is done on the potty and only when he actually pees he will bend over and talk to himself. he will say "Thank you wee wee, bye bye for now!" then he will very carefully pull up his pull-up and place his "weewee" in it. Sometimes he will pat himself and say "you ok wee wee?" We are not sure where he got it from, I stay home with him and his older brother does not do it nor does his sister. So I am not sure do I just allow it or should I do something about it. Yes at first I thought how cute, but then really thinking about it I wonder is it too weird?

  • It's cute. Actually most adult Men have a name for thier Penis too & it's not as cute as wee wee! LOL!

  • Normal. My son has never does that specifically but will say bye/hi/you okay?/it's okay/thank you/don't do that/etc. to inanimate objects all the time.

  • I think it's cute. I'd let it go for now. If it goes on for too long, then I'd maybe address it and tell him he doesn't need to talk to it, but for now, just consider it a great "this is what he did when he was 2" story.

    I would get it on video, not his actual parts, but him talking to it. So you can show his future wife. :D
