I looked it up and it sounds like he is behind but his ped says he is okay... what do you think?
He is 18 months and wasn't a preemie or anything like that.
The books say he should be pointing and he doesn't
It says he should know several words but all he knows is dada and mama- no real words
He doesn't follow a direction like 'go get your ball' but he does know sit down and stand up.
He still can't eat with a spoon and he won't even try to use a cup. I even gave him one ALL day the other thinking he would get thirsty and try it but no.
Also he doean't come when I call his name. If I clap my hands or get in his line of vision he will though... I had his hearing checked and it was okay... My ped keeps saying he will catch up. What do you think?
OH! and he has just started walking more than 1-2 steps between furniture this past week. He will walk holding my hand but he still sits down after 4-5 steps if I let go of his hand.
