Cold sore

I think my 20 month old got a cold sore/fever blister, ii dont know exactly what its called but its on her tongue and she cries and cries and drools a lot, what can i do???? Please help

  • I'd have her Pediatrician look at it. Is she sick? May be a virus.

  • I'd have her Pediatrician look at it!!!! Don't try to treat it with out a Dx.... b/c you don't know what it is! If it's a "cold sore" it would be need to be treated by the doc at this age!! (but I can't remember if that would present on the tongue or not)

  • Cold sores are on the mouth. Canker sores could be on the tongue but are usually on the insides of the gums. I would would get to a doctor because there is no way to know what it is so you can't be sure you are treating it correctly.
