Anyone else waiting to find out if schools are going to be closed or delayed?

I am on pins and needles waiting to find out. Normally, I would want a snow day, but I had tomorrow planned to take off from work and my friend and I were going to go to a small town and explore their book store, antique stores, have some coffee, and just enjoy our time together WITHOUT the boys. I keep checking to see if the schools will be closed or not even though they have said they would not make a decision until 8. Ugh! 10 more minutes to go.

  • Ours isn't for cold weather but because we are suppose to have an ice storm tonight. Our city is prepared if we have ice on the roads but our county isn't as prepared. If the buses can't get to the kids safely then they cancel school.

  • we'd have to have more then 5 or so inches of snow to cancel... other then that they just treat & plow the roads and life goes on... Good luck!

  • That's how it was when we lived in Germany. They only cancelled school/work once and it was normal to have snow on the ground from December 1st-March 1st.

  • Nope. It was 68 degrees today, and I don't anticipate any bad weather for a few more days.

  • Nope. It was unseasonably warm today. We could really use some snow or rain. Heck, I'd even take ice if it would melt eventually.
