Just curious, why do some men put their wedding ring on the right finger?

I've noticed this with a couple of men that do this. Their ring is sometimes on their right rather than their left. I never moved mine except maybe to my pinky finger on my left when my ring was bothering me. Could that be why? I dunno, I've seen it on more than one occasion so i'm wondering if it means anything.

  • I've never noticed. Since I don't date anymore, rings don't really mean anything to me. Heck, I rarely wear mine as does my husband. We hate them! I hate jewelry period. So, to me, it doesn't mean anything anyway.

  • I know of only two reasons for this- gay couples wear their wedding band on their right hand so well as many people from different countries (specifically European). If those don't apply to them then maybe it's just uncomfortable on their left or it has something to do with their job.

  • Maybe they are left handed. I know I do not like jewelry on my right hand. I am right handed.

  • I have a friend that wore his on his right hand for a while. It was shortly after his wife had him arrested for assualt and then left him. So, that's why he did it. He doesn't wear it at all now, which I take as a sign that he is starting to let go?

  • In some culture wearing the wedding band on the right hand means you are engaged. Like Brazil
