Horrible period cramps? Any help on how to get rid of them?

I have been having some horrible period cramps and I general tylenol and all the otc meds are not even touching the pain. Anyone have any way to get them to go away?

  • You might not believe this, but there's an acupressure point that a friend showed me, and it really works. I had a hard time knowing how to describe it, so I copied the paragraph below from, which also recommends acupressure and Ibuprofen (Advil.)

The Grandfather Grandson point is one of the most important points to relieve any type of menstrual pain, according to "Healing with Pressure Point Therapy" by Jack Forem and licensed acupuncturist Steve Shimer. Locate the joint where your big toe meets the foot. From the joint, move your finger two thumb widths along the bone towards your ankle. Slide your finger just below the bone and apply moderate pressure with your thumbs.

  • Therma Care menstrual heat wraps or a heating pad. I alternate every 2 hours between Tylenol & Advil & use a muscle relaxer when I can stay home & curl up in a ball :/

  • I have not had cramps in years but when I did in my early 20s I taught myself to meditate and this worked for me.
