Would you wake up baby?

my newborn is a really good sleeper, but it worries me. He woke up once at night to feed and then slept till about 10 this morning, he would have still been sleeping if I didn't wake him up. I was worried cause it had been a long time, is this normal??

  • Never wake up a sleeping baby espicially newborns. They need 16-18 hours of sleep a day. Check up on them but never wake them.

  • I let my daughter sleep as much as she wants. She'll wake up when she's hungry.

  • i woke my daughter to nurse her when she was a newborn, now she wont sleep more than 2 hours at a time at night.. shes 5 months- i would try letting her sleep for even just 2 nights and seeing if she wakes up to eat (which she should).. if not, then maybe wake her.. or call your ped. and see what they recommend

  • I never woke mine...I made sure they were breathing and all and let them sleep! They'll wake up when they're hungry. Unless your worried about the baby being underweight or something specific; I say enjoy your luck! =)

  • I let my daughter sleep as long as she wants, unless I absolutely MUST wake her to get her changed and ready to go somewhere. But if we're just hanging out at home all day, if she sleeps, she sleeps.

  • If you're breastfeeding, you need to wake her to nurse - or at least pump. You need the stimulation to keep your supply up. But if she's formula fed, or if you just want to pump and let her sleep, that will work., too. If she's sleeping, i'm sure she's fine - she'll make up the food while shes awake =D
