What do you think about the proposed Immigration Reform Bill?

The plan, crafted by four Republicans and four Democrats, is comprised of four elements: creating a pathway to citizenship for the nation's 11 million undocumented immigrants (contingent upon securing the nation's borders first), reforming the legal immigration system, establishing an effective employment verification system, and creating an improved process for admitting into the U.S. valuable workers.  PARTIAL INFORMATION FROM THE ARTICLE MORE HERE:

  • To be truthful I didn't read it all but will later.
I do agree that illegal imagrants who ask for citizenship should be put on a fast track. Those caught IMO should be deported.
There is a difference in my mind. Of course all background checks and employment should be checked and verified.

I do think securing the borders should be a major goal.

  • Based on what I have read, it's a start but does not go nearly far enough to streamline the process

  • The way our finances are in our country, trillions on dollars in debt, we barely can afford to pay our bills as a country. America has had our credit score lowered TWICE! But yet our govt wants more folks coming in?? Well wait, maybe they think the extra income will help. Doesn't it cost like a arm and a leg to become a US citizen? Or are some of the immigrants gonna be just more welfare participants? Bogging down on our system even more then it is now......
