Aunt Nicknames

I am about to be an aunt for the first time. I do not like the sound of Aunt Samantha/sam/or sammy. i kind if want more of a unique nickname that includes the word aunt and i cannot think of anything. if anyone can give me any cute suggestions id greatly appreciate it! =)

  • I got my name from my friends daughter. She couldn't say my name so she started calling me Seesa and I thought it was cute so that's what my nephew calls me now. Your niece/nephew won't be able to say Samantha at first so you could just wait and see how they say it.

  • My nephews call me Aunt Lita or just Lita... My name is Cassie haha

    I called my sister Ashalita (ashley) and she called me Cassalita, and somehow I got stuck with Lita. Now my own cousins and a few friends call me Lita too.

  • My Husband and son call his aunt Tinny. He couldnt say Cindy when he was little and Tinny has stuck

  • My niece calls me Auntie Amy. Also not sure how you pronounce aunt but here in the south they pronounce it like "ant". Thanks to my northern grandmother my family pronounces it the other way so to me it is unique.

  • You could just wait and see how they pronounce it. My kids couldn't say "aunt Emily", it can out "mimmy" so that's still what they call her

  • My son calls my husband's sisters Tante (tahn-tuh), the German word for aunt. My sisters he calls Auntie.

  • Matante ( Prouncounced mah-townt) is a french way to say aunt, and my kids call my sister Amy "kiki"
