What does this mean?

I texted someone and said that I'm an oddball in my views of religion.

He said "You are only and oddball in that you let that happen"

me: "are you saying i'm an odd ball?"

Him: " only in that one regard"

is he saying that i'm an oddball in that subject because i view it that way?

  • You're only an oddball because yout hink you're an oddball which is the "one regard" in which you are an oddball.
    In other words he doens't think you're an oddball, religiously or otherwise. he thinks it's odd that you think yourself an oddball.
