Easy craft idea for preschooler to make and give to her dad on his birthday?

I'm not really the crafty kind, so the easier the better! I was wondering what things your kids have made for their dads as birthday presents?

  • Just draw him a small picture and put put in a frame. Or you could get those frames made for decorating at AC Moore and have her paint it, then put a picture of the 2 of them together inside.

  • Get a solid colored pillow case. Get some freezer paper. Get some acrylic or fabric paints (fabric generally last longer)
Cut the freezer paper to the size of one side of the pillow case. Turn the case inside out and iron the freexer paper onto the pillow case. Turn the case carefully back rightside out. Put some paint on a paper plate and press your child's hand into the paint gently but get a good coat. You may want to have a little brushto smoth it and to remove the excess. She will need to press her hand on the pillowcase without sifting. You will gently press her fingers and palm down and help her to lift straight off She can use a fingertip to press petals in a circle of five and then take a toothpick or skewer to draw the stem and leaves. You can sign her name or she can and you put the date. Leave this sit as is for 24 hours. Then remove the freezer paper. If it is still wet enough to seep to the other

  • side pot some crumpled paper towels and allow to dry another ull 24 hours. Now place a grocery bag. paper, on your ironing board. Place the pillowcase with only the painted layer over the paper and cover with more paper and iron the lpillowcase until it is good and warm. I suggest the down lift method of pressing rather thatn the shove it back and forth method of ironing but both with work.
Remove the top paper and pillow case. Check the other paper to see if any residue came off. If not place the pillowcase inside out and cover and press again... If residue move the paper until it is clean or replace it. Remove paper and allow to cool.
