9 month old beaten, father pleads guilty

2 brain bleeds, possible brain damage, plus additional signs of abuse on the baby's 3 year old sister. This is a man with an anger problem, who needs help. He needs to be punished to the full extent of the law and receive psychological treatment for his problems.

Why is he not bigger news? Because he managed to bring a 9 month old baby to near death without using a gun? Instead of worrying about guns, isn't it more important to worry about assholes like this in general?

Child abuse is not on the media's agenda so they can't talk about it. It's only news if the abuse included a gun in some way. Otherwise the story can be run, but only by local media, and it must be only a blurb which few people will actually see. That's the rules journalists must play by.

This is a horrible tragedy. And, child abuse is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. But, one type of crime does not negate the importance or validity of another.

IDK, we ran a story the other day about a baby being taken by the bio dad from the hospital after the crack mom gave birth. Basically, he killed the baby but not before arm fractures and brain damage and other stuff. The "story" was that they gave him the baby just on his word that he was the dad. Anyway, yes, these monsters need to be tortured repeatedly in my book.
