Do any of you use OTC products to treat eczema? I've been using Cortisone-10, which feels soothing when it goes on, but which doesn't seem to be promoting any healing. The relief also doesn't last very long after applying the lotion.

  • I made some body lotion bars at Christmas and they have really helped my son who has eczema. They are made of equal parts of shea butter, coconut oil, and beeswax.

  • Have you tried aquaphor or aveeno after using the cortisone....almost like a sealant.

I would also have yourself checked for allergies. Eczema is usually caused by allergies be it environmental or food. Just my 2 cents on the subject.

  • Avon skin so soft and then pj pants. My son has eczema and I find slathering it on regularly helps.

  • If you can see a dermatologist you can get a prescription that might help you better.
