It's an ongoing war in our house, for I'm a purist. Chocolate chips go in chocolate chip cookies, raisins go in oatmeal cookies. DH, not so much. As a result, haven't made oatmeal cookies in over a decade LOL

You know, I've never had one... Sounds kind of strange to me. The raisins work because the cookie is chewy, I think the texture of the chocolate chips would bug me.

I never believed in oatmeal chocolate chip cookies until I had one from Eileen's Colossal Cookies. After that I converted to oatmeal chocolate chip and have been a dedicated follower ever since!

All cookies are good in my world. Chocolate chip oatmeal? Good! I once had oatmeal cookies with some sort of cinnamon chip and damn those were good.

my favorite cookie to eat & to make is the Neiman Marcus $5 million cookie. it has oatmeal & chocolate chips in it...its an amazing cookie! now chocolate, oatmeal AND raisins would be too much imo.
