If you have long-ish hair, do you have trouble keeping it tangle free?

Most of my life I've kept my hair no longer than just past my shoulders. Now it's just past the bottom of my shoulder blades and it seems like I'm brushing or combing it constantly. I keep it trimmed regularly, I've tried leave in conditioner and stuff like that, even wearing it up and it still gets super tangled.

How do YOU keep your hair tangle free? Does anyone else have this issue?

  • Braid it. That is what I use to do.

  • I brush it every once and a while.

    Guess I don't have that problem :(

    It's frizzy though

  • Just the bottom layer of my hair tangles REALLY bad. I have been putting olive oil in it once a week before washing and that seems to help but it is still not perfect. I try to keep it pulled back during the day when I am not trying to 'impress' anyone...

  • When I had longer hair, yes, keeping it untangled was a huge hassle. I resorted to wearing it in a bun 99.9% of the time, taking it down only to comb it and put it back up. That was why I finally cut it - the weight of it on my head (it was down to my ass almost) was giving me headaches and I was sick of wearing it up all the time.

  • Mine gets tangly underneath too but I think it's cause I wear hoodies all the time. Just brush it more often so it can't get really bad. I keep a small hairbrush in my purse.
