Flat irons?

My dd has curly hair but is using an inexpensive flat iron that my mom gave her (not as a gift, my mom bought it and then decided she didn't like it). I would like to get her a nicer one that works a little better. My dd's hair is VERY curly and although this one works, it takes a while and doesn't work great. Are there any brands/features that you would recommend?

  • My last two flat irons have been Jilbere. Ion is also a good iron. I just bought this one a couple of weeks ago and have been happy with it: GVP

  • Jose Eber has some nice flat irons. They are pretty expensive but work great and are backed by a warranty.

  • I love my CHI also. I don't have to apply heat as many times as I did with a cheap flat iron, it's pricy but it's better than apply more heat than needed IMO I also use a heat protectant spray.
