What color yarn should I use to stitch the knitted pieces together?

I am making a stripped baby blanket. Each stripe is a separate piece and a different color. I need to stitch them together, but I'm not sure what color yarn to use so it will look good. Any advice? Any suggestions? Any creative ideas?

If you are using pastels what about white between sections and a white overall border?

Well, they aren't pastels. They are very "happy" colors. Maybe white would look good anyway? Or cream?

Look for a variagated or ombre that has the same palette. Otherwise, if you haven't already started the stripes, you could rework it and reserve one of those colors for the border.

Yes, I would go with the cream or white so you do not draw too much attention to the color that connects them. I think the emphasis should be on the bigger sections
