Superbowl food ideas

Last minute we decided to have a few friends over for super bowl. My husband is making ribs and sausage. Not really sure what I should make

  • I make these easy snacks in my crockpot. I can't burn them!

    *All-American Snack*
    In crockpot, combine 3 cups thin pretzel sticks, 4 cups Wheat Chex, 4 cups Rice Chex, and 1 oz13 can salted peanuts. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon each of garlic and celery salt, 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt, and 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan. Pour 1/4 cup melted butter over, mix. Cover, cook on low 3-4 hours. uncover for last half hour. Makes 12 cups.

    *East Indian Snack*
    In crockpot, combine 1 oz5 can crisp Chinese noodles, 1 oz6 can salted cashews, 2 cups Rice Chex, and 1/2 cup flaked coconut. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon curry powder and 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger. Add 1/4 cup melted butter and 1 tablespoon soy sauce; mix. Cover, cook on low 3-4 hours, uncover for last half hour. Makes 6 cups.

  • *Chili Nuts*
    In crockpot, pour 1/4 cup melted butter over 2 oz12 cans cocktail peanuts. Sprinkle in 1 oz1-5/8 packet dry chii seasoning mix; toss to combine. Cover, cook on low for 2 to 2-1/2 hours. Remove cover. Cook on high 15 minutes. Makes 5 cups.


    Pizza rolls or those Little Smokies are always good. Guacamole and chips, caramel corn, ice cold drinks. Have a great time!
