How long will the results of my pregnancy test show?

I took an hpt on Wednesday and the results are still showing. How long will my digital hpt test say yes?

  • It'll probably stay that way. Negative ones can eventually turn positive (which is why they say not to read them after 10 minutes or so), so I would imagine a positive would continue to show positive.

  • until the battery runs out- took mine about 3 days if I remember correctly so make sure to take a picture of it! If you want to have one to save then I would go get a cheap line test those will stay pos forever.

  • My test from 2000 still shows a positive result. I glued it shut and saved it.

  • The regular tests will show it forever (I still have the tests I took in 2001). The digital ones will eventually die. Take a pic of it.

  • Non-digital will show forever a digital until the battery runs out usually a couple days. I personally took pics of my tests and also saved them in their baby books.
