Anime_mom619, what is your recipe for crock pot funeral potatoes?

Anyone else care to share nummy recipes with or without the use of a crock pot?

  • I've been trying to look for it because I do most of my cooking from memory now! These are so easy. We make them for holidays.

    Here's how I make them:
    1 Can of Cream of Celery Soup
    1 Cup of Sour Cream
    1/4th Cup of Shredded Onion
    1/4th Cup Butter
    1 Package (8 oz) Cream Cheese Melted
    1 Teaspoon Salt
    1/4th Teaspoon Pepper
    2 Teaspoons Garlic Minced
    1 28 Ounce Bag Frozen Potatoes O’Brian
    2 Cups (8 oz) Shredded Cheddar Cheese

    Combine soup, sour cream, onion, garlic, butter, salt, butter, cream cheese in bowl.
    Then add potatoes and cheese and mix carefully.
    Spray crock or liner with pam and then place mixture in crock.
    Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high 5-6 hours or until potatoes are tender.

  • You can also sprinkle those French's french fried onions over them to add a little crunchiness to them. I love them because you can just throw them in the crock pot and you don't really have to worry about them.

  • I like to make kahlua pork in the crock pot
    2lb pork butt, rub it all over with sea salt, put in the crock pot. Then add liquid smoke to a half cup of water and put the water in the crock pot around the pork, do not pour it over the pork, you dont want to wash the salt away. cook on low 8 hours, high 4 hours. Then shred it all, put it back in the juices from the crock pot. Serve Hawaiian style with macaroni salad and sticky rice
