Donating underwear? Yay or Nay?

I am going through the kids clothes and donating things that do not fit anymore. There is a Battered Women's and Children's Home in the area that I am donating to. I was just wondering is it too creepy and gross to donate children's underwear? They are definitely clean but I just wanted to know. I mean, I am sure that there is a need for clean underwear for these children. But, I don't know if that would be too gross? What do you think?

  • Nay. Besides the ick factor, charities/thrift stores don't accept used underwear.

  • Not sure. I see them at garage sales all the time. Usually they are very clean or never worn, but still.

  • I wouldn't. Go to Wal-Mart and buy some underwear that you can give in the original packages if you want to.

  • While I am lucky enough to never have had to rely on used underpants, I would donate them if they are clean. Others aren't as fortunate.
