My dd9 wants red fingernails for Valentines days I told her ok. She will be 10 this year.

Thank you ladies

  • Good for her! I like to hear of little girls taking care of their appearance!

  • If you're allowing her to paint her nails at 9 then the color shouldn't matter. Red is just a color.

  • It is theme appropriate ... don't see what the issue is.

  • I do not think Red is consider a sexual color anymore, so I do not understand what your reservations about the color would be.

  • My dd (age 5 and a half) has had almost every color of the rainbow at one time or another. Red is not seen as the "sexy" color it used to be anymore. Besides, she is a little girl. I don't think anyone will think twice about it.

  • I don't see what the color has to do with anything.

  • Color is only an issue when someone makes it an issue
if you feel it is ok for your child then so be it.
Mine is 4, she has had every color under the sun if someone has an issue with it that is not my problem it is theirs.
