Do you have your DL#'s on your personal checks?

I'm re-0rdering checks and they are advising me not to use the dl's on the checks although we have in the past. Should we not? Isn't it easier to avoid theft and fraud if you have to match the dl's shown?

  • Nope. If it's there it's more likely the clerk will NOT check it.

  • Nope, I don't. I don't want it on there. No reason in particular, just don't see it as necessary.

  • No we don't, and if the place needs to have your DL# when accepting a check its just as easy to pull out your DL, we haven't had to do that in a LONG time though, many places don't even accept checks anymore... the only things we still pay with check are our Rent and a couple other bills :P

  • No. Too much information. If they need to see my DL, they can ask.
