When you cook dinner do you make it truly homemade or from the box/jar?

  • Both. For example tonight I made chicken pot pie. Noodles came from a box, broth from a can, but the rest fresh.

    I buy frozen meals from my church freezer.It is made almost from scratch to sell to the members and community to support a soup kitchen in a neighborhood that needs support.It is from all but scratch ,I volunteer one day a week.Other than that I no longer buy frozen meals other than Amy's , Ethnic Gourmet ,Whole Foods and T.J.'s

  • Depends on how much time I have, but yeah I'm known to use a pasta sauce or stirfry sauce of of a bottle for weekday meals, I like to com from scratch when I have time though.

  • Combo. I don't buy many boxed things, but I keep simmer sauces, jarred spaghetti sauce, Shake & Bake, and some frozen Indian foods around for quick options when I don't have the time or inclination to be more creative.

  • Mostly everything from box/jar. I was not blessed with a mother who knew how to cook and once I started cooking, I did the same things she did...and then never took the time to figure out how to homemake things since. I should though because I would hate to think that DD will be sitting at a computer 30 years from now complaining her mother never knew how to cook.
