Cakes - Betty Crocker or Duncan Hines or other?

I use Betty Crocker. Duncan Hines doesn't turn out as well for me.

  • It doesn't make a difference to me. I buy whatever is cheapest.

  • Duncan Hines, most of the time.

  • I usually buy the cheapest, too. My kids' school had a bake sale and I had both kinds of cakes. The grocery store had Duncan Hines on sale but I think Betty Crocker is usually cheaper. So, I made one of each. The Betty Crocker turned out great as usual but Duncan Hines had little balls of flour in it and it didn't rise quite right. Maybe it's me!

  • Home made

If, for some reason, I use a mix, it's Duncan Hines.

  • Depends what I'm doing. With a cake mold, it's gotta be Duncan. For a basic cake, usually Betty but sometimes Pillsbury. It really varies from item to item ;o).
