S/O Those saying the slushy Magic is junk. I have the alternative that works. ;0)

You need:
1 gallons size freezer bag
1 smaller freezer bag (a brand you trust)
salt (ice cream salt is good but table salt works too)
juice or beverage of choice

Pour beverage of choice into the smaller bag and seal tightly.
fill large bag 1/3 of the way full with ice and top with salt
put small bag inside large bag and seal
(I wrap the large bag in a towel)
Massage, squeeze and toss for about 5 minutes
(Makes for some fun summer games)
pull out the small bag and rise quickly so the salt doesn't get in the treat and pour into a cup

This also makes a soft serve ice cream if you use milk, vanilla and sugar.

NO plastic ice cubes or tiny tumbler required. Amaze your kids with how clever you are.

Have you tried this before?

  • Yes, I have. It makes so much more than the itty bitty slushy magic cup makes.

  • Lol. When the slushy thing first came out I was like 'WHAT?' We had been making these for years! With so many people experiencing slushy fails I thought I would share.
