  • Ds LOVED the book 'I love you through and through' when he was your kids age... I still have it memorized and he is 8!

DD never had a book we read over and over like that... she is now reading them herself. :(

  • I really enjoy reading "Time Of Wonder" (also "One Morning In Maine") to my boys. They are two of my favorite picture books and I love reading them. (Both of them feature older/growing versions of Sal from McCloskey's "Blueberries For Sal.")
But we just went through David Wiesner's picture book "Flotsam" yesterday and boy, is that one ever fun to read together!!!

I recently read "The Mozart Season" (a YA novel) to my 8 year old daughter and that was really enjoyable for me.

  • Mommy Mine when he was younger and Love You Forever. His favorites were The Belly Button Book and Little Quack. Now we read books about animals more than anything else. We also are reading the Magic Tree House series together.
