What i named my multiracial kids

Dh and I are mutts.....he is irish, cherokee, and english, i am cherokee, scottish, english and black foot and creek....i named my kids josie and samuel. nothing odd ball or off the wall with random spellings or apostrophes.

just thought i'd share

who else could give a shit less what race someone's kid is, just name them something you can pronounce and that they won't have a hard time spelling when they learn to write it.

  • What does mutt mean? Are there still purebreds around or what? I'm italian, german and irish gypsy. Does that make me a mutt? I thought I was just "white"?

  • I'm a teacher. I have around 900 students every year. Personally, I have found that a persons heritage has little to do with naming kids "interesting" names.

  • Race should not determine names. UNLESS, you are sticking with traditional cultural names. Like a Indian-American being named "Priya".
