Why my female dog take always the same puppy and put beside her outside the litter

The puppy might have something wrong with it, and the mother can sense it so since she feels it's weaker, she's pushing it away so that the stronger pups can survive. Ive also read that it could be because she doesnt have enough milk so she pushes the weakest one away. If shes not feeding the puppy you need to take it to the vet. I also suggest getting some milk and feeding the puppy yourself.

LIss they dont push the RUNT away just bc its the runt. Runt is just a term for the smallest of the litter. Nothing to do with the mom not wanting it.

If its a new litter the mom will move the puppy away bc she wont care for it.. she will let it die. Why? Because theres something wrong with it.. all dogs do it.. some moms eat their puppies that are sick,. My dog just had puppies and pushed one away

Just curious. As a new person to Cafemom, why would you come here and ask about a dog?

Runt?? Sick?? There is many reason why she could be doing that.
