Level 35 (72,090 Credits)I just asked this question a couple weeks ago!. The general consensus was YES and the most agreed reasoning was so kids can learn how to sign their name lol. I don't even use cursive to sign my name. I scribble. I learned that well before I learned cursive!

They touched on it when they were younger but I can't say they were taught it. They focused on keyboarding classes instead in early elementary school, about third grade I think. Sign of the times.
