1 Bump

What to do next if glycerin suppositories don't work?

My DD is very constipated and is stuck. I've tried a baby glycerin suppository but it didn't help. She's miserable. She's 23 months old. We have tried prune juice, fiber funnies, child sized dosages of benefiber, etc.

  • Gosh that's probably why she's miserable. You can't mix all that without something coming out... otherwise she's going to explode. Please contact her physician ASAP.

  • Doctor ASAP. They may want to manually extract the hard stool or 'plug' so she can go. You do not want her to get/stay impacted.

  • Have you even talk to a doctor yet about this? Or did you just start giving her things?

  • WHY haven't you called her doc yet??? She probably needs to be disimpacted... but YOU should NOT do this as you can do some damage. Call her doc!!!
