Is it sanitary to re-use baby bottles?

My first child was a boy and I am 4 and a half months pregnant with my second and he is a boy, and I know that someone let their children of the same sex use hand-me-downs, etc. Is it santiary to do the same with bottles? I've never heard anyone say that it is or isn't sanitary.

  • Yes it is OK to re use them for your other babie/s. I would buy new niples though.

  • If you've washed them in hot soapy water its fine. Bottles given by someone else would have to be boiled first.

  • I used to run them through a sterilizer that could go in my microwave.

  • You can sterilize a bottle. As long as it is BPA free why not.
