Can a toddler/child know their mom is pregnant before they do?

My three year old son told me he loves his sister Abbigail. He said that she is a baby and lives with mommy and she's sleeping. I don't know if I am pregnant but my husband and I have been trying. Do you think he could know before we do?

  • It's possible :)
    My kids get extra clingy. I don't know if its a sixth sense or if I'm too tired in early pregnancy to do much with them.

  • It's definitely possible. My cousin's son picked up on the presence of his little sister before either parent knew about her. He kept walking up to his mom, putting his hand on her belly, and saying, "Baby."

  • Kids have a certain sence to them where they can tell but maybe she has just overheard you talking about trying.
