Where can I find good English as a Second Language materials online?

I am looking for free materials for an adult beginning learner and have spent lots of time and mostly come up empty.

  • OK. I understand the problem - I taught English as a foreign language to adults for a few years :) The trouble is that just about everything these days is interactive. However, I did find this:

The lessons are fairly neutral - not kiddy-specific.

    The top page:

has loads of things you can probably use too. It's mainly Brit English but that's easy enough to work round.

Good luck with your quest. :)

PS - once you have her/him up and running you might find some fun things to do here:

  • Are you asking for books or websites? Here's a website that can help with all levels including beginners.

  • Thank you, winterglow. I am mainly looking for materials that I can print out and take to class with me. Many that I have seen aren't appropriate since they are more geared to kids and I am teaching an adult who is just starting out.
