The last 2 mornings I have take pregnancy tests . The first was faint the second abit stronger however after doing a third this afternoon it's negative withe no line at all. Does anybody know if this is possible and what would you say if I was pregnant or not . Don't want to get my hopes up after a year of trying to conceive .

  • Maybe you took the 3rd one wrong. You received 2 positives. Morning is the better time to do it.
False positives are very uncommon. So I would think its safe to say your pregnant CONGRATS!

  • If you are to early in to the pregnancy then yes. That is why they always recommend the first pee in the morning for the test. Congratulations

  • If you're really worried call your doctors office, explain and ask for a blood test.

  • Do it with your first morning pee. It is the strongest.

  • What will you be salting?

  • It's perfectly possible. The hormones that the tests check for in your urine are more concentrated in the morning. You may also have had a test that was less sensitive than the other two (even with the same brand you can have a slight variation in sensitivity).

False positives are virtually impossible because you can't find what isn't there (i.e. the pregnancy hormones that your body produces. So, a line is a line is a line - congratulations! Now STOP testing. One positive test is enough!

  • If you are early on in pregnancy, it is possible to get these results. If you get positives in the morning, even if faint, it's a positive. The further you progress, the afternoon will be positive as well. Have your doctor run a blood pregnancy test to confirm and ease your mind. Congrats!!

  • I would keep checking and even go to the dr. to get blood work done.
