  • I remember all of those things. I'm 41. Our first microwave was built into the oven, and it sucked power like you wouldn't believe. Our first TV was a 12-inch black and white set with rabbit ears. Four channels that you changed with a knob, another knob for volume.

  • I can remember everything before except microwaves. Not sure when they came out, but when we built our house when I was 4 (summer of in 1977), it had a built-in microwave above the oven.

    It was the very late 70's/very early 80's that my mother worked at the cable company in town...but we were too far out in the country to get cable...only the 3 channels.

    When having a color tv was a big thing,computers were seen as something that only nerds would ever have,the "brick" cell phone of the 80's
    Cable came here in 78 when I was 6,but it was $30 a month and that was too expensive for most people
