Was thinking of how old my Wash and dryer are...................

Next year they will be 10. They still run good. I was trying to tell my DH that they we have had them almost 10 the end of next year. That it is time to buy new ones in a couple of years. The new front loaders. I was pushing energy efficient.  It is not working.  He said they are still working just fine. No reason to get rid of them.  MEN!   I am hoping one or both break down soon.  I want new ones.

  • Mine are 13 years old. I hope they hang on a bit longer.

  • My washer is new, but I opted for a top-loading energy efficient one without an agitator. My old one finally died a horrible, gurgling death this last year. The dryer is still limping along, but the sensor that stops it when the door opens is out, and some of the settings no longer work. I have a feeling a dryer will be one of my next big expensive.

  • We bought ours when we moved into the first house we built...back in 1997. They still work just fine.

  • I like my washer and dryer. They're about 8 years old now. I don't like the new front loading machines.

  • Mine are pretty new, only a year old. I love them! But my old ones were really old and used when I got them.
